My Baby Girl.June.Six Months.

Nick's job has taken him to Virginia for the Summer. Neither Amelia or I can stand it! Luckily, we were able to sneak in a visit. We headed out to Washington D.C., where Nick picked us up. Amelia was so excited to see her Dad...I think Nick was more excited though. Everytime we skype, Amelia will look around for Nick after she hears his voice. When she heard his voice at the airport, she started looking around like usual, but when her eyes landed on his face she got the biggest smile and started kicking her legs like crazy! She flirted with him all week long. She would look at him until he would make eye contact with her, then she would smile, kick her legs, squeal and turn away...and do it all over again! Overall, we had a great week!

-You magically learned to sit up, literally...overnight!

-You don't use a swaddler to sleep with anymore

-I can put you to bed wide awake, and you will put yourself to sleep

-You love vegtables, fruit...not so much

-If someone else is holding you and you see me, you will start to fuss until I hold you

-You still won't laugh, you just chuckle softly

-You love your stroller

-You really enjoy being sung to

-You went on your 1st vacation/airplane ride. You were a perfect angel.

-You really enjoy watching Baby Einstein movies

-You {finally} figured out how to roll from your stomach to your back, and are now rolling all over the place

-You notice Mr. Tux and like to pull his hair

-I wouldn't change a single thing about you...you are just about perfect!

I've realized,

It seems I sorta {{LOVE}} you so much more than I thought I would!

How did I get so lucky? What did I do right? Can I really be the Mommy you deserve?

We are thinking about giving you rice cereal again, but haven't yet

Mia's Babysitter

In our bathroom the washer and dryer are directly behind the sink and counter space. If Amelia is awake when I am getting ready, I put her on top of the dryer and turn it on. She loves to play with the hangers! She is usually entertained for a good 20 minutes...which feels like an eternity these days!!

Rolling Over

Amelia has never liked her tummy. She cries each time her Dad and I try to put her down. It's no surprise that she learned to roll from her back to front first. It was very exciting to watch. Last night, she rolled over from her back to belly, cried, kicked, struggled...and ended up on her back again!

Amelia's 1st time at the ranch consisted of walking around in Grandpa's arm, sleeping in Dad's arms in the truck, feeding the cows, digging a trench, and listening to trains go by.

The Pilzer's

We were able to take Amelia to visit the Pilzer's during Spring Break. It was so much fun for the kids to see her. I remember telling them that there was a baby in my belly, just last Summer. They were all so excited! Each time I talked to the kids after I left my job they would say "Brianna, how long is your baby now?" I think they were pretty surprised to actually see her in person.
